FROM AROUND THE WEB
Social network mammoth, Facebook, suffered similar fate to its counterpart, Twitter, this morning, as hackers overwhelmed the system and brought the site to its knees. Search engine behemoth, Google Inc. is investigating the attacks, which appear to be a coordinated attempt to cripple the popular websites.
Also, it appears, though we don’t have much information to go on at this time, that the smaller social site, LiveJournal, had come under attack today, also.
