Former Spice Girls star, Victoria Beckham, wife of soccer player, David Beckham, has agreed to make a “one-off appearance” as a guest judge on American Idol.

Her representative says she doesn’t want to commit to more than a guest role so she can focus on her fashion line.

Since the Spice Girls split up, she has dabbled in pop music, amassing four UK Top 10 singles as a solo artist. Her fashion career includes designing a line of jeans for Rock & Republic, then her own line of denim jeans under the label dVb Style. She also has a range of sunglasses and a perfume branded Intimately Beckham. In collaboration with the Japanese store Samantha Thavasa, she produced a range of handbags and jewelry. Additionally, she has penned two best-selling books – an autobiography and a fashion guide.
