“Chicago” Oscar-winning Welsh actress, Catherine Zeta-Jones, married to Hollywood actor, Michael Douglas, is to star as the character Desiree opposite the winner of 5 Tony’s, English actress / singer Angela Lansbury on Broadway in Trevor Nunn’s revival of Stephen Sondheim’s “A Little Night Music.” There’s not much singing and dancing involved in Zeta’s role, however, she has to pull off the stage play’s formidable signature song, “Send In The Clowns.” Her Broadway hit or bomb will hang on that one song and she simply has to bring something fresh to the rendition, especially as it looks like her $20million-a-year gig at T-Mobile is coming to a close.
