It’s now official that Michael Jackson died from lethal levels of Propofol administered by Dr. Conrad Murray on the day of his death. After autopsy, the Los Angeles County Coroner discovered a killer dose of the powerful, for hospital-use-only anesthetic Propofol.
A search warrant affidavit unsealed today in Houston, Texas, MJ’s private physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, told LAPD Robbery / Homicide Division detectiives that he had been treating Jackson for insomnia for about six weeks, by intravenously administering 50 milligrams of Propofol every night.
According to court documents, on the day of MJ’s death, Murray attempted to put him under without using Propofol.
At 1:30 a.m. he gave him the anti-anxiety benzodiazepine drug Valium.
At 2 a.m. he injected him with another benzodiazepine drug Lorazepam.
At 3 a.m. he administered the pre-surgery anesthetic Midazolam. With Michael still awake and non-responsive to treatment, Murray said he gave him various other drugs.
Finally, at 10:40 a.m., Murray administered 25 milligrams of Propofol.
In an interview with police, Murray claims to have left the room at this time to make some phone calls and, upon returning, found MJ not breathing, so he gave CPR (but on a bed, not on a hard surface as per protocol) while a member of Michael’s staff called 911.
Now, that’s what Digital Cheeseburger calls being in a crapper full of serious crap! For a physician to administer such a killer cocktail of drugs outside of a hospital setting, and then to leave the patient’s room for a time! That’s not merely the act of medical incompetence or negligence, we say it’s: Murder in the Second Degree. However, smart money’s on the D.A. slapping a manslaughter charge on Murray.
