Convicted domestic violence thug, R&B singer, Chris Brown‘s mother, Joyce Hawkins, has rushed to an oddly deific discoursed defense of him, following the five-years probation sentence he received for beating to a pulp his then-girlfriend, R&B artist Rihanna. LAPD police photograph (left) depicting the aftermath of Brown’s vicious attack on Rihanna, February 8, 2009. The attack took place inside a rented Lamborghini in Hancock Park, Los Angeles, on their way back from a pre-Grammy party. (Our thanks to TMZ.com for the photo.)

Chris Brown's mother, Joyce Hawkins (r), is not ashamed of her son's violence.
Hawkins is not ashamed of her son’s attack on Rihanna, which left her face badly bruised and battered, as he pummeled her with his fists and tried to bite off her ear. Instead she went off on a sermon about God (huh? Holy crap!) She preached:
“I made a promise. I would never be ashamed of him no matter where I am or who I talk to. You see this whole thing isn’t about Chris, it’s about God. He wants to show all of you the goodness of him through Chris. We love you so much and so does God.”
Instead of apologizing on Brown’s behalf to his beaten victim, she thanked his fans (wow, holy crap, he still has some?!) She again preached:
“Because of all your prayers, God brought him through. I just want to say God has never failed me and never will. All moms and dads please stand by your children and pray for their goodness each and every day.”
Digital Cheeseburger thinks it’s too bad she didn’t preach like this to the judge at her son’s trial. If she had, the five-years of probation might have turned into a five-stretch in the slammer!
