Oprah Winfrey‘s resident health nut, veggie-evangelist Dr. Oz, is getting his own TV show to be co-produced by Oprah’s Harpo Productions and Sony Pictures Television.
Dr. Mehmet C. Oz, a cardiothoracic surgeon and author, will host the daily syndicated talk show out of New York from Conan O’Brien‘s old studio at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, called “The Dr. Oz Show.” All so-called junk food has been banned backstage, so his crew will be crunching carrots not munching meaty burgers. Digital Cheeseburger, notes: “There ain’t nothing like forcing your views down another’s throat.” The show’s premiere airs September, 14.

He’s a strange type, doesn’t have enough interesting material to pad out a whole show, imo.
