Fox announced that Ellen DeGeneres will replace Paula Abdul as a judge on “American Idol.” Idol has a series of special guest fill-ins, including Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Kristin Chenoweth, Joe Jonas, Neil Patrick Harris, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry, and Shania Twain for next season’s audition rounds.
Here’s the announcement she made on her TV talk show today:
Digital Cheeseburger is still trying to figure out Ellen’s influence in the music industry that made her the perfect choice to sit in judgment of wannabe singers.
