Things just keep getting weirder in the Jackson Family camp. As earlier reported by Digital Cheeseburger, the Jermaine Jackson proposed and shambolic star-studded, Vienna-staged concert paying homage to Michael Jackson, “Tribute 2009,” was to be shunned by the Jackson clan, now it appears the Jackson matriarch, Katherine Jackson, has given her blessing, see the official Tribute 2009 website for her video conference. In it, a subdued Katherine announces she will be attending it after all, on “September 29.” Um, the show is on September 26.
“KATHERINE JACKSON, the mother of Michael and Jermaine, wants to express to all the millions of fans around the globe her support for THE TRIBUTE in honor of her beloved son in Vienna, Austria. She recorded this very personal message on the evening of September 9 at her home in California and asked the producers of THE TRIBUTE to release it.”
