In an off-the-record portion of an interview with CNBC, President Obama was heard by ABC newsman Terry Moran calling MTV Video Music Awards‘ stage-invader, Kanye West, a “jackass” for his irksome tirade against Taylor Swift‘s beating out Beyonce in the Best Female Video category.
Moran immediately wrote on his Twitter account to his one-million-plus followers, but later deleted it:
“Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a ‘jackass’ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential.”
The White House has not issued any comment on the report.
