Universal Pixtures‘ romantic drama, “Love Happens,” starring Jennifer Aniston, is in trouble over claims by writers Greg Crowder and Tony Freitas, who say the movie idea was stolen from them.
In 2006, Greg Crowder pitched a script, titled “The Truth,” to Universal’s then-Vice President of Production, Scott Berstein, who turned the screenplay down. Then in 2009 the writer pitched the same script to another studio who told him it appeared “stolen” from a strikingly similar new movie coming out of Universal, called “Love Happens.” So, now the two writers are suing Universal Pictures for stealing their idea.
