Loved and loathed “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell has signed a deal worth more than $100 million a year to bring “X-Factor,” his “Idol”-like show in Britain, to the United States. However, Cowell will be producing, not starring in the American version of the reality talent show. His “idol” contract, which was due to expire, has been extended by another two years.
Digital Cheeseburger has heard rumors that Paula Abdul is the the running for a place on the new show.
