Gap-toothed funnyman, David Letterman kept a bachelor pad atop New York City’s historic Ed Sullivan Theater where the “Late Show” is taped. Staff of his production company, Worldwide Pants, that produces the show called his secret love nest “the bunker,” and is where he would take his choice ladies, who more often than not were his 20-something interns and 30-something staff members.

Letterman confessed last week in a creepy on-air admission to carrying on sexual relations with women who worked for him. It was a carefully timed response to a blackmail plot to extort $2 million from him by Joe Halderman, a producer for the CBS true-crime TV show “48 Hours.”

Digital Cheeseburger thinks we’re soon to hear from all and sundry that crawls out of Letterman’s salacious studio suite for fame and fortune, either selling their kiss-and-tell stories, or filing big-bucks sexual harassment lawsuits.
