As the people of planet Earth watched with baited breath for a spectacular out of this world crash and bang by two NASA spacecrafts slamming into the Moon at 5,592 mph, the event just fizzled out in a crummy white flash. The 385 tons (U.S.) six-mile high plume of debris and lunar dust promised to us by the space agency never materialized.
However, the space people are gleeful over the resulting data they claim to have obtained from this $79 million mission to search for potential moon water.
Digital Cheeseburger watched the shebang, or more accurately shetease, live in the wee small hours, and thought we’d been swallowing moonshine instead of seeking moon water! On a graver note, how many gallons of water would US$79,000,000 buy for the thirsting-to-death people of Earth? Just sayin’!
