Dame Elizabeth Taylor, 77, is recovering well after having a procedure done on her heart. In her Twitter account, she wrote:
“Dear Friends, My heart procedure went off perfectly. It’s like having a brand new ticker. Thank you for your prayers and good wishes.”
Liz is overweight, so the prognosis for a good recovery is much higher than average. Sounds strange? This fact is known in the medical community as an anomaly called “The Obesity Paradox.” What it means is that overweight and obese heart patients recover better than people of normal weight, and much better still than those underweight. Now, there’s something the diet industry doesn’t want you to know!
