It took some doing to beat out the Gosselins (“Jon & Kate Plus 8“) and the Lohans (Lindsay, Ali, Dina, Michael) to become America’s Worst Family – and the Heene clan did it in pitiful style!
Following a day where emergency services and the National Guard were scrambled to chase a runaway Mylar balloon (pictured below) reported by the Heenes to contain their six-year old son, Falcon, through three counties in Colorado, in an interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN‘s “Larry King Show,” Falcon, who had earlier been found hiding inside a cardboard box in the garage attic at the family’s home in Fort Collins, confessed, “We did this for a show.” See video below.

The Heene family, who have appeared twice on ABC‘s reality TV show “Wife Swap,” regularly upload videos of their escapades to YouTube. It is beyond Digital Cheeseburger‘s comprehension why, tonight, instead of being invited onto the “Larry King Show” parents Richard and Mayumi were not hauled off to jail and their children to foster homes!
