Former frontman of the British alternative rock band The Smiths, Morrissey, born Steven Patrick Morrissey and aged 50 years, has been released from hospital after collapsing on stage during a concert at the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon, UK, on Saturday.
Eyewitnesses said he performed his hit song “This Charming Man” before “falling to the floor,” then carried off unconscious backstage by crew members. Unfortunately, Morrissey has a poor track record of canceling shows, so his being taken off stage was greeted by boos, whistles and jeers by the audience of 1,000. At this time, there is no word on what condition ailed the English singer.
